Artefacts is a digital online encyclopedia devoted to archaeological small findings. It gathers data from publications, museums and private collections to offer an image of objects forms, with a description, chronology and illustrations, as well as automatic maps showing the distribution of registered objects. Artefacts is fed by c. 120 authors from various countries, and grows up according to the contributions of field archaeologists, museum curators and especially students. It now appears to its users as a major tool for identifying and studying archaeological small findings in Europe.
